The American Legion Riders Post 104

Visit Cross Bayou Post 252

Last Tuesday our newest member of the American Legion Riders, SMG Lonny Gordon and his folks invited us their home  Post 252 for a cookout on Sunday.

As always we were welcomed warmly by the friendly members and staff at Post 252. There were free burgers for all ALR members. Unfortunately only a few of us showed up to take advantage of the Post's hospitality.

Snow and Saint showed up first and had a few burgers and beers while they waited for the other riders to arrive. Finally after a couple hours Big Jerry, Charlene and two new members wandered in.

Post 252 is a beautiful club with a big  pool and a great cookout area. The Legion Riders from Post 104 frequent it often and enjoy the hospitality of the staff and members. They always make us feel right at home.

Above we have Snow, Big Jerry and two of our newest members. For the life of me I can't remember their names, but will make sure I do next time we meet. You know stuff like that happens when you get old. If I didn't have my name on my vest I would be sure who I was half the time.

To the right we have Charlene, the two new members and Big Jerry. Everyone enjoyed their burgers and beer.

Here Big Jerry and Saint, looking a little fuzzy after a few beers. You know how when you get older you kind of shrink up and wrinkle. Believe it or not Big Jerry and I used to be the same size.

We had a good time and missed our riding buddies. But it appears several of them gave blood that morning and were just too weak to make it. That was okay, it meant we didn't have to worry about running out of beer.
